It's made to melt at skin temperature, so yes, it softens in heat. Keep the tin closed and away from hot cars and direct sun. If it softens, let it firm up somewhere cool; it works just the same.

Can I travel with it?

How do I use it?

Is it shea-free?

Yes. It's made with cocoa and illipe butters instead of shea.
